For me too It was Roger.

Retcon aside, we have seen WB and he didn't have any scar.

Obv. Oda is Oda, but as things are now, It should be Roger.

But let's say yes: still, more than ten years after GV WB didn't have any visibile scars, unless Oda wants to pull some invisible scar (for us readers) on his legs.

That's the thing. Roger Is plausibile and has hinting scene; Garling may be, but doesn't have any.

Bro, what are you even saying rn lol? We find out what a Yonko is after w7 as well, it wasn't a known thing before that. Are you sure fans in the 90s and early 2000s made this connection? Even if they did, it certainly wouldn't be something the average reader put together, so Oda still treated it like a reveal.

The set up here is simple. Whitebeard says Shanks's face reminds him of his scar, he mentions notable people from his era(most importantly Roger), then points out Shanks is from Rogers crew. Then Shanks reveals he got his eye scar from Blackbeard(Whitebeards subordinate) hyping them up as rivals as well.

That's what I'm talking about.
Wheres the scar is unknown.
Whitebeard has like three scars on his chest.

And Whitebeard dialouge of " Your face Reminds me of that man who gave me this scar , or it aches when I look at you ".

Does Shanks look Similar to Roger or Garling?
