Early post timeskip started off well especially when Asuma faced Hidan and was brutally killed, thus giving us tension, stakes and a reality check.

The series got much worse post timeskip for me, like one piece but there are some things both series do better post TS ofc.

Hidan Kakuzu arc was peak it went downhill from there
I cant really compare it to one piece too they are still characters oda introduces i like them even this arc. Which was really not the cares for me in naruto post-akatsuki

Yeah definitely. Sai was a huge failure, Yamato was not good, just OK i guess. I didn't really care for any characters except jiraiya, the akatsuki and my usual faves generally.

Post ts OP has given us some great characters definitely although some also far worser ones than in Naruto too haha.

Naruto fell off hard for me when all the Akatsuki started going down. They were the legacy of the entire series. And Orochimaru too ofc. Oro had such god tier theme songs in the anime too.

Peak Naruto was him fainting after Sakura faked a love confession to him too. I almost passed out IRL reading that BS. But yeah I agree, his post TS was such a letdown where as Sakura actually amazed me especially vs Sasori and then it all went downhill with Sasuke back in play lol.

I've always loved super strength though and having Tsunade and thus Sakura as female ninja Hercules or ninja Wonder Woman or whatever was extremely awesome to me lol.

I had such high hopes for Naruto himself post TS and what we got was more clones and bigger Rasengans? Wind affinity speciality for the amazing Rasenshuriken but nothing else? Sigh. Almost as bad Kubo writing Ichigo lmao. Guy spams Getsuga Tenshos and only those too, like it pays his bills to do so. Exclusive sponsorship deal or something.

That's why I loved Jojo for its strategic fights and protagonists with unusual powers especially from part 4 onwards and the immense creativity with them. Araki was doing some absolutely insane shit with Jolyne especially, Doflamingo would be proud lmao.
