Because before he joined Whitebeard, Ace started some trouble on Onigashima.

And Kaido is a petty brute. He wanted to be Joy Boy solely because he's the guy who takes down the WG. He wasn't interested in being the caretaker for whoever became the real deal.

Law and Luffy literally destroyed Kaido's entire SMILE operation with Doffy and Caesar, and he still tried to recruit them.

Kaido learned bits of the prophecies Toki and Oden learned of via the past and Laugh Tale.

Kaido wanted to recruit Luffy after Luffy shut down a plan he had been working on for years. Kaido ain't killing Ace over a statue. If Ace had hurt Kaido's crew, maybe.

But a statue? Luffy ruined Doflamingo and Kaido still wanted Luffy, Ace breaking a statue is worth like one jug of Sake to Kaido, and that's NOT MUCH CONSIDERING THIS MAN'S DRINKING

Trying to break someone's will to turn them little more into a slave isn't exactly a sign of good will.

But regardless of how he recruits people, there was no way Kaido actually was planning to "recruit" Ace. He was just going to attack an old rival in Whitebeard and that was it. There was no way in Hell your idea of Kaido wanting to "help" Whitebeard just to find a potential JB as a reward is at all feasible.

And while I doubt Kaido really liked *anyone* from Rocks, he could at least work with Big Mom due to their similarly greedy personalities. A relative goody two shoes like Whitebeard? No way.

Shamrock has lot of aura, I don't think he'd rape a woman.

Gunko is a Brook-aligned character, and Brook is a true gentleman (besides fiending for Linlin's panties).

I think Shamrock making the game was his way of giving Harald's kingdom a chance to fight back.

Shamrock nearly killed Loki, if he wanted to defeat the Giant/New Giant Pirates, he could have.

Kaido has how many orphaned children on his crew? He's way closer to Whitebeard than Linlin is.

Look at how Ulti talked about Kaido, and how Pudding talked about Linlin.
