The actor was great.

The non-chalant attitude with the poise of knowing you're the strongest he did a great job.

Again missed the point..

That’s up to your interpretation. If you choose not to pay attention to panels and Mihawk’s statements, and you needed an IRL version to make it easier to digest, that’s perfectly fine. However, coming to someone like myself or @mly90 , who are fans of Mihawk, and saying they’re not the same is damn near insanity, especially when Matt Owens is a fan of the manga and tried his best to keep every character as faithful to the manga as possible.
I said he made him interesting with his own personal touch, not that they were fundamentally different. None of the things he brought to the character are things we've seen in the manga. The manerism, the midly exasperated demeanor, the legs on Garp's office to show he doesn't give a shit, the ridiculous reason he gave to explain why he went after Krieg, etc. In the manga, Mihawk is just the typical silent badass who hardly says anything, with admittedly a couple of cold lines here and there.

The line about Zoro being a rabbit that he doesn't want to hunt with a canon, is one of the rare things I found cool about manga Mihawk. But overall, it's not enough for me to not find him bland. I have no agenda, it's just my honest opinion and I don't "hate" the character. To hate a character, you have to find him annoying in the first place. I don't find Mihawk annoying, I'm just not impressed with the character.
