at least 1 has some stakes and can be unpredictable while the other has the result of the fights been agreed on before it even starts
It can still be unpredictable because the fans don't know who is gonna win. And there can be stakes as these fights tell a story even if they do not have real world consinquence, other than injury with the wrestlers. All one needs is a little suspension of disbelief.
It's more of a theater production, but one important thing to keep in mind is that these fellas are actually putting their bodies on the line here as they're stunt preformers as well. Just because they have techniques to reduce chance of injury does mean you avoid all the pain alongside it.
I think it's fair to compare manga with it cause there are some big similarities. For the most part the mangaka already knows who is gonna win a fight between two characters, they just need to do it in a way that is interesting both in visuals and storytelling wise. That's 1 for 1 what wrestling is.
