In the final part of the film, there is a scene where the space shuttle crew draws lots to decide which of them will sacrifice his live to save the rest - one of the main characters sacrificed himself so that the other could live - at one point he has an expression written on his face that says "damn - so this is how it will end" + an expression of quick reconciliation with it .

So i have a very strong feeling that Garp has the same expression on his face now:
