Oh I meant to specify they might accuse Yaoi fans of enjoying abusive relationships to slander them. Wouldn't be surprised tbh.
There's quite a bit of "heterosexual" media that openly has abusive relationships with both partners being abusive (not at the same time usually but still).
I used to see a lot of weebs accuse yaoi fans/Fujoshis of enjoying abusive relationships and I wonder if that was some latent homophobia projecting from them and thus them trying to slander them, make them look and sound a lot worse.
I've seen similar comments made from "super straights" about gay couples and such IRL. Its deplorable.
Funnily enough many years ago, the TV show Reaper which is great in general, had a wonderful depiction of a gay couple without it being exaggerated or stereotypical. It was very mature/respectful and they were treated the same as everyone else. It was really nice to see.
Blows my mind that this was so long ago and it's so progressive and mature/respectful about it.
