I only read it for the conspiracy and world building lore, like what the titans were and origins of history. Other than that, aside from Historia, I hated every other character and found the titans themselves and choices people made, stupid as all hell.

Good worldbuilding and lore writer.
Cannot write believable characters.

Bruh, if you had kept reading you would have known the owner is not as kind as he's presented nor is the lady in love with him either. Her actual family actually appear later on.

Writers do shit like this all the time, present stuff on the surface then reveal the cruel reality later. It's common writing. I don't see how can anyone read Vinland and think it's glorifying slavery and rape when they're presented as horrible things the MCs are against

For a manga with dark themes and great characterization I reccomend Pandora Hearts or as we in the fandom started calling it, Pandora Hurts.
Pandora Hearts is amazing.
