"King of Hell", "my name will reach the Heavens"....RIP LMAO. Truly a monkey's paw moment, foreshadowed by all the Monkeys he spent 2 years with Monkehawk too. He surpassed the "Monkey D Luffy" in notoriety for sure now.

There's more potentially fucked up jokes to be made, but I won't say them lol. (Not monke related I mean just to clarify too.)

Oda and Twatsuki need to be stopped. Oda clearly making tribute for Watsuki with that Sanji scene. Gotta make sure they include it and not "make any mistakes."

And yet Oda insisted characters behaved exactly as they should, "true to themselves". Cannot let them be "out of character".

Fuck man, I do truly regret getting into One Piece and thus anime andd manga more than I ever have in my life now. I wasn't as much of a "weeb" until that happened too. I could have saved/spared myself!

everything on early post ts sanji was so annoying. the nose bleeding joke all the time becoming a lore point this part of the movie Z
Sanji being crazy for women is one thing, but oda tried too hard

Sanji had so many cool moments pre-ts and oda fumbles, like he did usopp, chopper

i think only brook and luffy came out the same

Exactly man, Oda flanderised/exaggerated the SHs way too much post TS. Its truly infantile writing. He blatantly admitted to "cutefying" Chopper because of his voice actor making him "sound cuter" and for merchandise, mascot reasons, he has no shame. I would say he lost his soul over the timeskip or around that time, but he still does write and draw some amazing stuff here and there still, so he's not entirely soulless either.

Luffy is dumber now and way more childish. He showed more emotional maturity pre TS but he has some rare good moments like with Tama or when he smashed the mirror to block and trap Katakuri and himself too.

Usopp, I don't even know what to think or feel anymor, ,except numb. Not even disappointed, but apathy at this point. His character took such an unforgivable nosedive at Dressrosa and then Wano doubled down on it immensely. I don't know what Oda is doing with him and I don't think he know either anymore.

Sanjis infamous nosebleed moment almost made me drop the series back then, I truly wish I had done. I regret not doing so, all so much now.

This tells us a couple things:

1. The fact that Ryokugyu is like 15-20 years younger than the other admirals is important to Oda. I would actually say this explains a lot of his characterization like his dramatic reactions.

2. There is a lot more to the character than meets the eye. He probably has a backstory that we’ll get at some point.
