oden backstory told us roger didnt conqueror sea rather begged WB to become the pirate king. Before oden flashback at least everyone though roger took out wb and other pirates to achieve it.
2)Rocks dream
rocks was greater pirate then roger but the guy didnt give a damn about pirate king shit
he simply wanted to be king of the world and the pirate king couldn't even defeat him 1 on 1
