All top tier fights are going to feel exactly like Luffy vs Kaido or Rocks vs Harald if there isn’t a high level to logia fruits

It’s one of the reasons why I actually hope BB isn’t a conqueror because while haki maybe > DF in ordinary cases, THREE DFs is a different question imo and it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Teach to be way above your standard ACoC user

It’d be way worse than Luffy vs Kaido. At least they had DFs and somewhat unique fighting styles. If characters like Roger, Shanks, Xebec, Ray etc only have swordsmanship and powerful Haki, how will their fighting styles look any different?

The only confirmed fruit users in god valley right now are Whitebeard, Shiki, Big Mom, Kuma, and “Saturn”. And Shikis isn’t even an offensive fruit.

Heck it could be trimmed down even further if repetitive plotlines and arcs were removed and repetitive characters merged.
One Piece could be told in 5 arcs and we'd be done, left with a tightly packed, fast paced story that addresses all the themes present in the current long winded version of One Piece.
The main issue being franchise culture and over exploitation of intellectual properties for maximized profits

That's what happens when the author spreads his creativity too thin. 10 years max and one piece would've had consistent quality.
Stretch it over 30 years and the creativity gets diluted with bullshit like eternal running, light show haki and reaction faces.
The mabga could be trimmed down to at least 1/3 of its length if all the filler were removed. Some stuff would need a rewrite for consistency's sake but we'd still be left with pretty much the same story.

Damn imagine if one chapter ends with Shanks winning then we’ll start the next chapter with him dead and we never see how Blackbeard did it just some commentary.

Shanks is Loda self insert even if he loses there is good chance he is going to give him good fight. You can tell how much effort he puts into drawing him when he is on panel
