Why did Asuma, Shikamaru, and those two other guys decide to face Hidan and Kakuzu by themselves, rather than trail those two and wait for the other squads to rendezvous with them? Konoha was already well are that Akatsuki members are Kage level.
Why did Hidan and Kakuzu retreat when fucking Aoba, Raido, Ino, and Choji show up? They could have easily cleaned house and claimed Asuma’s bounty
Why did Yamato agree to infiltrate Orochimaru’s hideout with just Naruto and Sakura as backup? The idea that they could just sneak in and grab Sasuke, who will resist them most likely, without Orochimaru, Kabuto, or Sai noticing is already dumb enough (and they didn’t even know if Orochimaru had other servants there), but why the fuck were they just aimlessly running through the hideout, opening every door, and shouting out “Sasukeee!”?
Why did Jiraiya participate in none of the first 3 Shippuden arcs? Dude was just chilling in the village.
