🏴‍☠️ One Piece Chapter 1180 Spoiler Prediction: "The True Enemy of the Gods"

Cover Story: Yamato encounters old acquaintances from the Beast Pirates during her journey through Wano, who have now settled down peacefully.

1. Chaos in Elbaph (The Awakening of the Devil)
The chapter picks up right where 1179 left off. The giant magic circle in the sky above Elbaph is pulsating. Black lightning, heavily infused with extreme Conqueror's Haki, strikes uncontrollably.
We see the full effects of Imu's power. "The Devil's Fruit" seems to possess a kind of ultimate awakening that corrupts reality itself. The houses and trees that turned into shadow creatures ("Dorororo") in chapter 1179 are now actively attacking the giants and the Straw Hats.
Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe immediately jump into action to protect Usopp, Nami, and the wounded giants. Sanji notes that these shadow creatures are immune to normal physical attacks, similar to the Yokai forms of the Five Elders, but they are vulnerable to Armament and Conqueror's Haki.

2. The Throne Room of August Castle
Imu stands in the throne room. Their presence is so oppressive that the giant guards present lose consciousness solely from Imu's ambient Haki (similar to Shanks, but much darker and colder).
Imu speaks their first words in the "lower world." The voice is strangely distorted. Imu doesn't ask for Loki or the giants, but sets a clear target: "Bring me the bearer of the straw hat... and the remnants of Lily's betrayal."
A hint is dropped about what "The Devil's Fruit" truly means: Imu doesn't just control one specific element, but the very essence of Devil Fruits themselves—the manifestation of human desires.

3. Upheaval in Mary Geoise
A brief cut back to the Holy Land. The Five Elders are extremely nervous because the "Empty Throne" is now truly empty, and Imu is putting themselves in danger.
Garling Figarland officially takes command of Mary Geoise's defenses. He orders York to push the production of the Mother Flame to 200%, whatever the cost. He implies that Imu's absence means the World Government will now initiate the "Great Cleansing" regardless of casualties.

4. The Reaction of the Sun Gods
The still-frozen (or currently thawing) Loki senses the presence in his castle. As a self-proclaimed "Sun God," he is furious that someone with such a sinister aura is claiming his territory.
At the same time, we see Luffy. His expression becomes dead serious. The scar on his chest aches briefly. He recognizes this Haki—it is the root of the dark presence he already felt from Saturn and Warcury, but millions of times stronger.
Luffy immediately activates Gear 5. But instead of laughing as usual, Nika is completely silent and focused. The Drums of Liberation echo extremely loudly, slightly pushing back the black clouds in the sky.

5. The Cliffhanger
Luffy catapults himself with a massive Gum-Gum jump straight toward August Castle, crashing right through the roof of the throne room.
The final panel shows an epic staredown: Luffy (in Gear 5, glowing pure white) lands directly in front of St. Nerona Imu (shrouded in deep, billowing black).
Imu (muttering): "Joyboy... once again you stand in my way."
Luffy: "I don't know who you are... but you're making my friends sad!"
Editor's Note: The battle for the fate of the world begins HERE! No break next week.
Why this prediction is plausible:
Oda's Pacing: After Imu lands and their face is revealed, the immediate reaction of the surroundings has to be shown. Oda loves contrasts—the white Sun God Nika against the black "Devil" Imu is the ultimate visual and thematic motif.
The Shadow Creatures: The transformation of the environment in chapter 1179 is a classic tease for a skirmish that will keep the rest of the crew busy while Luffy rushes to the final boss.
Gear 5's Reaction: Luffy instinctively reacts to threats against freedom. Imu's aura represents absolute oppression, which will automatically draw Nika out into the open.

Bonus: Usopp gets a BJ from Nami before he dies.
