Somehow he went back in time & there people saw gomu gomu no mi. "This is what made gomu gomu nomi special in the first place".


This is some kind of paradox

Where events of the past are influenced by events of the future.

I had an opinion that, when they get all the important phoneglyphs they will see the actual message. Maybe some kind of visual aid projector type. I expect Oda to draw joyboy or void century in the manga, so them encountering some visual aid will give him a reason to draw them. Don't think there will be any time manipulation type plot though.

As long as it's done properly without any major fumbling, I'm fine with it. It'll at least stop the people who're shouting 'destiny, destiny!' right now without any confirmation. But this time paradox stuff is very hard to execute so I'm not sure tbh.

Complaining about "destiny" doesn't make sense and unfortunately, time travel makes it worse if anything.

I was pretty wary when we met Toki, but Oda handled it well so let that ship sail.

Yeah I think time travel is well done in stories centered around time travel. You can't just throw it into a story that hasn't been involving it, no matter how much you yourself have thought about it.

Exactly this. Storys about time travel are mostly centered aroumd time travel itself as thedefining plot point , theme, motif.

It was one of my favourite shows until Season 2. I dropped it halfway season 3 after they introduced parallel universes. I'm here to enjoy, not do a course on logical reasoning, lol.

Time travel is fine. However Parallel universe looks good in comics only.

That actually is a good picture and maybe Oda really does have it as a reference point. Now change his nose, remove the straw hat, put him in a straw skirt, give him those weapons, and I think we have something
