It’s not up for dispute. Luffy Piece was peak One Piece.

Now we get Alabasta remakes, mid arcs like Fishman Island, recycled tropes, dragged pacing, Run Piece, Wedding Cake Piece special, and the grand finale to the Emperor Saga being a whole let down.

The only hope for this series from now on is the Admirals since as history has shown us any arc with them as antagonist is great like Marineford and Sabaody.

Kidd will power up after Wano.Recruit some rookies,supernovas and NW veterans and fight Luffy after he is declared Pirate King.I think Kidd will pull a Shiki on Luffy:Ambush him at sea with a lot of naval superiority.

The Admirals have been good antagonists, but I have my doubts that they will fare much better when they clash with Luffy in the near future.

The main reason being that in the past the Admirals were written as insurmountable walls the Strawhats could not compete with and were forced to either run away or lose. Essentially, the Strawhats were written to lose against them. That won't be the case now. I have no confidence at this point that Oda can provide a well written clash between them knowing that the Strawhats must win. Most likely we'll get the same quality of fights we got in Onigashima.

Admirals aren’t goofy gags like the Yonko. They mean business.

They will have fights and respect on the level of Enies Lobby and Marineford, Oda loves the WG characters and he won’t sully characters that pay homages to his favorite actors

It's not even gags I'm worried about, its the convenient powerups/situational circumstances and general Plot induced stupidity that Oda creates so the good guys can win. Even Enies Lobby had that but Onigashima turned all that up to 100.

Ultimately I hope you're right but I'm keeping my expectations rock bottom, which is sad since I didn't think I would have to do so for this series.

One Piece was better before Luffy proved himself to be the Chosen One, before Luffy revealed to have all the power of the Chosen One, and before we know he selected the Chosen for his crew.
