I think it's a case of lost verbs via via via via. Traditional way how it works, and Fuji's previous way how it works = night action which activates when the day comes.

That’s what I was thinking except Ratchet keeps doubling down that he got hit during the day. And Fuji told me I was hit at night. Then Pot’s post muddied the water more. So now I’m gonna drive Fuji crazy with it lol.
