Pretty underrated these days, but I will always appreciate Bellemere for her strength, both inside and out. She was already a strong Marine woman, not afraid of any challenges before her, and she took on the toughest challenge of all - parenthood. She rescued two girls who had nothing and gave them a family. She could've easily sent them for adoption, but gave them a home instead. Despite the hurdles they've had to go through due to lack of income, when her time came, she gave all she had left to insure her daughter's were safe, and was proud to have been their mother.
I always loved Bellemere as a character. She played a large part in getting me into One Piece to begin with. But after my mom's passing, I've come to appreciate her character even more. Always cherish your mother, people. There is no one who loves you more than her.
