Hey folks!
With the new chapter, I pretty much had instantly an idea for a theory and I want to share this theory of the upcoming events with you. So let me enroll what I think could happen in the following events, mostly sidelined from the strawhats, a short summary of the theory will be found at the end of the story:
Right now, we saw Shanks in Wano, being close to Luffy and his crew. Shanks crew even wants to meet Luffy, some people on the Ship even mention Kid. But Shanks refuses, he reveals his goal for now: the ONE PIECE:
Some already questioned his intentions, not only why he wants to find the One Piece, but more important, why exactly now? @Natalija
We will come to that.
Following my theory, Shanks will go in the direction of the One Piece, pretty much straight up to Lodestar, he gets involved in some trouble with Bartho, which will result in some delay of Shanks way to Lodestar. In the dispute with Barto, Barto will praise Luffy, which will result in some cheering in Shanks crew, since they still see Luffy as their friend, kinda like a crewmate. But Shanks wont hesitate to crush barto and maybe even answers some strange part to Barto, which results in some curiosity in between Shanks crew.
I think, this curiosity will result in one crewmember trying to get into contact to Luffy and reach somehow Kid, or even will contact Kid directly, since they still have some kind of connection, even tho it is still unknown what kind of connection. My years old theory is still, Shanks is Kids older brother. To go into details, it will be another thread.
With this information, Kid will go straight into the direction of Shanks to fight him. He will reach Shanks and even tho Kid got significant stronger, he couldn’t beat Shanks on his own, but he gets surprising assistance from one or two crewmember from Shanks, which suddenly realize more or less whats going on, maybe involved through the story they hear from Kid and the connection between Kid and Shanks. With that help, Kid is able to beat Shanks, but he somehow escapes.
The news spread through the world, it gets published that Eustass Kid enthroned Red Hair Shanks and is now considered full patched Yonko. Luffy gets the news and is angry, consideres Kid as a traitor to go against Shanks. He is furious, since he thought Kid would be his friend and ally now. With that anger, Luffy declares he will help Shanks and beat Eustass Kid.
So Luffy is following his path to the One Piece, arrives at Lodestar and the story goes on. On Lodestar, he meets Blackbeard and the war for the great treasure, The One Piece, takes place. Luffy is able to beat Blackbeard finally, but doesn’t kill them as usual. Luffy then goes traveling right to Laugh tale, but right at the start, Robin, Chopper, Brook and Yamato getting sick, so they claim, they wait on Lodestar to recover. Luffy, feels weakened himself, states he will stay with them until they are cured, but Blackbeard appears. Blackbeard declares he isn’t interested in a fight anymore, he knows Luffy would beat him again, specially since he already saw through his abilities. Blackbeard then explains, the problem is not a sickness or a virus, It is Laugh Tale itself. The island is the source of the Kairōseki, the island itself is pretty much a huge Kairōseki-Stone. That’s why it is not possible for normal DF-Users to come close to the island, they get sick immediately (remember Buggy?). He then declares, that this is the reason he went for the darkness fruit and whitebeards fruit, since he could somehow avoid the impact with them. He then tells he is surprised Luffy don’t get sick, only weakened. But this seems related to the Nika Nika no Mi.

Since the crewmembers get better directly on Lodestar, they claim they will here and chopper even states, he wants to help Blackbeards crew to get better after the war. Blackbeard doesn’t understand why they want to help, but Luffy insists. Blackbeard then thanks him and declares, he will guard the others from any treat until Luffy is back.
Luffy then travels to Laugh Tale finds the One Piece and takes all information about the void history with him, since he isn’t able to read it, Robin needs to decode it. Luffy takes his time on Laugh Time additionally as training, since he feels even more weakened from minute to minute, but thinks this is a great opportunity.
When Luffy then is returning to Lodestar, he will feel pretty much exploding from energy and happiness. He starts immediately to tell to others from Laugh Tale and wants to celebrate. He even invites Blackbeard and his crew, which kinda is still hesitating. Robin directly wants to decode the information about the void century and Luffy gives it to her. Right when he starts to party, on a hill close by someone appears. When Luffy sees that person, he charges at him and attacks… Eustass Kid. They have a clash, while Kid wants to explain some stuff, but Luffy refuses to listen. The rest of the crew appears also and when Killer comes up, Zoro charges to him. Killer blocks the attack under pressure and then declares, they don’t have any intention of fighting the strawhats. Zoro then stops the attacking, but looks at Luffy and then tells Killer, they are not allowed to interfere a captains dispute, Killer agrees.
Kid several times declares he wants to build and alliance and don’t want to fight luffy. But Luffy don’t want to listen, he still sees Kid as a traitor for attacking Shanks. They clash like that for some time, while Kid always tries to talk about it, but Luffy breaks through it. Right when Kid accepts that Luffy don’t want to listen, he says he will put him down and force to listen. So both charge up with an strong attack and jump into the others direction.
Then suddenly, someone appears inbetween them, holds his hands in both directions and yells “STOP IT!”….. But the person gets hit straight up into the face and faints immediately. It was Buggy The Clown. When he fells to the ground, Luffy yells at Kid why he suddenly also attacks Buggy, which is another friend. Kid replies that Luffy attacked him too. Luffy: “yeah, somehow… sorry buggy!”
Buggy then stands up again, bloody face, looks pretty damaged. Buggy then declares Kid is kinda right, Shanks betrayed Luffy and the others, even Roger. He tells Luffy every detail about what he knows, since he got some information about the situation back then, when he got sick and couldn’t get the Laugh Tale. Since then, he was the only one knowing the truth about Shanks. But nobody took him serious, ever.
He tells that Shanks was working for Imu even when he joined Roger. He should reach Laugh Tale for Imu and find the One Piece, steal it and bring it to Imu, since Imu is not able to do it by himself. Unluckily, because of Buggy, he couldn’t reach his goal when he was a child. And when he stayed back, Buggy listened to a conversation between Imu and Shanks.
Then Kid steps in and tells his story with Shanks, being his brother, left his family even before Kid was born. And when Kid finaly found Shanks, to get him helping his hometown and island, Shanks refused and told him, he doesn’t care anymore for that island. That’s why Kid wanted to take him down.
Blackbeard then steps in and tells his story, why he wanted to find the One Piece and go against the government. He tells about his hometown, the people he loved and he cared.
Luffy still refuses to believe what he hears about Shanks. But then Robin steps in and tells him it makes sense with the story about the void history. A lot of details where given about everything.
And the end of this long conversation with a lot of flashbacks. All 4 of them decide to build an alliance against the government. The 4 Yonko -Alliance to bring down the world government!

Shanks is a traitor, working for imu since beginning, he should steal the One Piece for Imu, he failed with Roger, since he was forced to stay with Buggy when Buggy got sick, Buggy then heard a conversation of Shanks with Imu
Later he planed to give the Nika Nika no Mi to Ace, so he could influence that Kid to help him, getting the One Piece. But Luffy interfered and ate that fruit, so the plan got somehow changed. That’s why Shanks saved Luffy and lose his arm, since he couldn’t lose the Nika Nika no Mi at that point.
Shanks now used Luffy to make trouble in the world, going against the Yonkos and so opens the gate for Shanks getting closer to Laugh Tale, since he couldn’t gather the RP by his own and the old crew refused to give him the directions.
His crew didn’t know about the connection to Imu and got betrayed himself
Shanks is Kids older brother and also betrayed the family
The whole dispute will lead into an alliance of the new Yonko: Luffy, Blackbeard, Buggy and Kid
Shanks will reappear in the final war as an underling of Imu. He will be Zoros opponent and this is when Zoro officially will be stronger then Mihawk, since he beat Mihawks rival.
