I was recently reminded of KochiKame running for 40 years in Shonen Jump. I would NOT put it past someone as extremely egotistical as Oda to not want to surpass that. We're here for the LONG run. Oda said the REAL story begins now with the final saga, I am certain we're gonna be here for at least another 7 years at earliest but that still feels too low at the current pacing by far.
KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump for 40 years, from September 1976 to September 2016. The manga has 1,960 chapters and 201 tankōbon volumes, making it the second-highest number of volumes for a single series.
1960 chapters...DEAR GOD....prepare for over 2000 chapters of One Piece overall I guess LMAO! Never mind an inevitable seqeul cash cow series ofc!
Current Oda is constantly stalling, has taken 2 month long breaks in the past 3 years, does around 33 chapters a year with his once a month breaks and WSJ breaks too and thus in 7 years, we would get around 231 chapters roughly? Wano was 150 alone and took FOUR YEARS for that reason too ofc.
We still have Lodestar, New Marineford, the WG and thus Mary Geoise, Dragon and the Revolutionaries, more on Gods Valley, Rocks Pirates and IMU AND XEBEC STILL WATIING TO BE REVEALED sigh, the location of Ace the sword, Oro Jackson, Roger's grave, Scopper and the giant eggg on Rogers ship too.
I forgot to add, Oda revealed the true Wano underneath the current Wano all this time ofc. 3x bigger at that! The real name of Onigasima is still unknown. We got ALMOST nothing from Onis in Wano and Kaido despite we were meant to! We never got the true name of Onigashima etc!
And most importantly of all, we FINALLY found where Pluton is ofc!

Elbaf is WAY too important to Oda just like Wano so its not gonna be short. Also been set up for over 2 decades in the story and is Usopps most personal/important arc and was meant to be for Shanks too but oh well. After Wano and Egghead though for Zoro and Franky, Elbaf being for Usopp is a lost cause too anyway with these past few chapters and Usopp post Dressrosa BUT Oda might surprise us ofc. I really hope he does too.

We also need to see whats going on with the missing SHs, Lilith, Dorry, Broggy etc too. They might just be where Luffys group are about to emerge too.

I honestly dropped OP since 2017 ever since episode 779 when Kaido attacked his subordinates, and also since 2018 as a Manga when Imu debuted then next chapter, no Imu, also Oda has been Cock-teasing OP ending since 2014, he will most likely gonna die before ending it, but only reason why I made a forum on this thread was because I liked to discuss the Anime, and share some thoughts on it, such as things I don't find any logic behind it or power scaling, and that's it.
