Ousen will ignore Gian

#1
The main goal of sacking Gian was to put a lid on the north, and right now we have the remnants of the Kanki army, Hi Shin and Gaku Ka occuping the city.
Ousen stated that his army will follow through with the invasion but something still seems fishy. In this instance, after Ousen learned about the defeat of then northern army, he could've easily dispatched this 10k unit to aid Kanki considering he's gonna join the fray himself sooner or later

Instead he wants to wait and monitor the situation. The prority of the Gian invasion was to put a lid on the north to minimize any chances of the royalty escaping alive, and if you ask me they've already achieved this goal to some extent.

Riboku is already occupied with Kanki, and for some reason he's totally ignoring the presence of the largest Qin army under the command of Ousen himself, without any regards for a shift of strategy for the Qin army. Let's bring out the Zhao map

Ousen trusts Kanki as he would himself, he can hold Riboku esp when the latter hears of the grave report and is left with such dilemma.

There's already a possibility of Qin's reinforcements for Kanki arriving there, as described by Mouten. So that they could bring down both Gian and Sekirei under Qin's banner.

So Ousen really didn't need to move out and secure Gian by attacking on the rear of Riboku’s army. On the contrary he could take advantage of Riboku's absence and attack another key castle which could shook the base of Zhao's security and made a panic situation for Riboku to either continues the pressure on Kanki or go for Ousen's head... lol

lol your theory became true and Ousen has settled RouMou as his target here.

LMAO, This would be a hilarious move..... don't know what wpuld be the strategical advantage here for setting eyes on RouMou. Or if he wants to get Riboku heading deeper in to the north while making YTW or another army taking action against capital regions.
Unbelievable decision, there must be something we don't know
Roumou is the city that welcomed these two, lies exactly next to Taigen where the Qin northeastern army gathered

And it might have been part of SHK's plans from the get go

But I still can't make anything of it, maybe this is Riboku's hometown? He seems fond of their Duke

From the second image in your post, i believe Ousen deduced that it is RouMou's army (led by 2 of SBS generals) which destroyed Qin's reinforcements army and put a dent on Gian's takeover. Even though Riboku once again made through blockage of information, but Ousen decuced things through his insticts or his experience.

He wants to remove RouMou first may because he didn't want any hindrances later on when they faces Riboku.

Though it's not like Riboku won't have plan for these circumstances as well. Than there's SBS lurking as well. So next course of events definitely going to be quite interesting.

Haven't seen the spoilers for next chapter but this is probably how Ousen would operate. He trusted Kanki to hold against Riboku long enough so Ousen would focus on his main agenda. Riboku is in tight pinch right now but he should have back up plan in case he knew (or should know) that Ousen is still around. That's probably when he's gonna dispatch Shibashou.
