Part 1 of Naruto is a masterpiece in shounen manga

Part 1 is very consistent and exceptional, taking old concepts and making them fresh and interesting again.
Even a tournament arc felt fresh, which was incredible considering how many shonen used tournaments as a lazy show off.
The only issue i always have is that Naruto and Sasuke are exceptionally boring characters, where Neji and Rock Lee are much more interesting, just as much as Shikamaru and Gaara.
If Naruto ended at part 1 it would probably be one of the bests, shame that mangakas have to write until something is profitable and have little control on their story .

War is good in concept but shits on everything Naruto was cool for.
Only relevant ninjas in the war are dead and resurrected, new gens are shite.
Chakra is limitless.
Power scaling is fucked, with Madara being basically a god.
Naruto being basically jesus.
The murded of Guy as a character.
Naruto started collapsing with the Pain arc, and with kyubi once again making Naruto win, and makin the frog training useless

I agree. I prefer part 1 which was all around way better but I really loved the series up until that point which is where the story just started to really dip. The war arc is when I just noped out completely and started skipping chapters for the first time.
Almost everything that happened after Sasuke went berserk and Danzo died feels like a hazy blur of Snakeman Kabuto and Madara plotting, undead shinobi fighting, a boring Obito revelation and some crappy alien showing up because that's what this series needed, freaking AYYYliens.

Its a curse with many shonens when the MCs completely overshadow their friends, resulting in the fights becoming duller since its always the same two or three MCs doing all the fighting over time while all the supporting characters with equally cool or cooler abilities get pushed to the side lines to comment about how amazing the MCs have become or to simply serve as fodder for the bad guys. I mean I'm fine with the MC becoming the strongest, but not at the cost of the rest of the cast being left in the dust.
Speaking of Naruto and Sasuke, Sasuke only exists because of Kishimoto's editor att right? I sometimes wonder how things would've turned out if Sasuke hadn't been made.

Shippuden is great up to the 5 kages arc, only final war was bad.
Naruto from beginning till sasuke's departure is a shonen MASTERCLASS, great from shippuden beginning till pain invasion, good on kage summit and a disaster on the fourth ninja war.
Naruto suffers from a shit ending tarnishing its legacy, the journey was AMAZING and for those who followed during chapter release, unforgettable.
There is a reason naruto is the only shonen who comes close to DB in popularity despite OP's comercial success.

Nah. the middle (post hokage death) and end of the story are bad. The story should have followed Sasuke's turn to the dark side and should have ended with Naruto killing Sasuke but Kishimoto didn't pull the trigger and turn him into the greatest manga Vllian.
