Speculations Perfect Example of Real Swordsmen VS Swordsmen..

#66
That's got nothing to do with you redefining historical terms according to your headcanon
How?.. You went on a tangent because i said Samurai wielding Swords are popular culture, meaning accepted by the people nowadays..

We know

The true purpose is your powerscaling agenda
The true purpose if you didn't read with your own agenda in mind was to show the difference between " Real " Swordsmen and
normal one..

Show proof or it doesn't exist..
I could but when Maynard showed you an article about Samurai specifically being a noble military rank rather than being anything to do with being swordsmen, you ignored him. So why should I bother?

Besides, why don't you show proof of historical samurai using swords as their primary battlefield weapon to shut all us critics up? :goatasure:
Japan's popular culture is saying that Samurai Wield Swords, what are you talking about.. You guys are arguing to argue..
Western popular culture portrays knights in plate armour using swords. In reality, knights fought each other with maces or war hammers to inflict blunt force trauma. Swords would bounce off of plate armour. Blades are designed to slice through flesh, not penetrate plate armour.

Swords are the weapon used in popular culture due to their association with nobility (both the concept of and the actual nobility class) and because sword play choreography is much more fun to watch than two dudes trying to stab each other with pointy sticks or cave each other's skulls in with glorified clubs.

Turns out, popular culture takes generous liberties regarding historical time periods for the sake of entertainment. Whoever would have guessed? :catsure:

You want me to have no clue of What i'm talking about..

Show evidence of a Samurai refering to Raizo as a Samurai and you will have a point..
Until the Raizo is a Ninja.. He was introduced as a Ninja.. The Alliance specifically separated the Ninja and Samurai..
Calling it " The Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai-Alliance..
Yasuie stating that those who will serve Oden as shogun must be the greatest samurai instead of mere ruffians:

Inuarashi treating Raizo as a samurai both in Zou and in Wano:

The narrator himself saying the Nine Scabbards are nine samurai:

Brook treating Raizo as a samurai:

Bao Huang including Raizo among the samurais:

Kaidou saying he loves the way of the samurai as he fights the Scabbards in reference to them as a whole:

BONUS: Tama addressing herself and her companions as samurai because, surprise, every warrior from Wano is a samurai just like we knew since freaking Zou.

Do I have a point or not?

Literally stop acting dumb and gaslighting

The pure swordsman debate is dead since 2018
You're like a time traveller, mentally stuck in the past
You went on another subject to not take responsability for being wrong..

I Demonstrated that there are " Real " Swordsmen and normal Swordsmen with Hyougoro..

Because the argument can be easily countered by Popular Culture..

The Shinsengumi is historical isn't.. They were wearing Swords..

That's all great and all, but you need to take what's in front of you.. Samurai in Wano are represented mostly as Swordsman..

If he replies to you then at least you have 1 point. He most likely will ignore this and call you a deflector :milaugh:. You used almost every evidence to debunk this whole thread.

He moved the goalposts, now it's suddenly about the samurai's role in popular culture and no longer about historical samurai

You went on another subject to not take responsability for being wrong..
You're mirroring
The Shinsengumi is historical isn't.. They were wearing Swords..
A group that appeared when the samurai caste was on its last legs≠perfect representatives of said samurai caste

When someone make a logical point, i can acknowledge it..

You pointed out that..

Raizo is a Samurai and trained with the Sword, he's sometimes seen wielding a Sword..
You can consider yourself a Samurai at heart, although that's a bit shady because Tama also think she's a Ninja when she's not.

Now you have made a great point, How does that disprove that Hyougoro does not consider himself a Samurai and only a Yakuza?..

The difference between him and you is that he actually made a real point.. You just mess around and deflect.. lol

Dude i made the same point as he is but the only difference is he provided panels where i tried to explain to you how your presentation and evidence is weak in a trolling kind of way:myman:But i kept telling you all over your posts to reread wano and learn about japan culture :milaugh:. Its not messing around i am trying to explain how your logic is flawed. If only straight to the point with no reasoning then sure. If panels are proof enough i will keep it in mind lol but expect the trolling still :goyea:.

Indeed. After attempting to appeal to historical ignorance, he now goes on about "popular culture".

Disingenuous clown.
And yet you did not answer back about the fact that the Shinsengumi wore Blades?.. That's a historical fact..

Why do we have to go so deep in history to not accept what's in front of us.. Wano Samurai are consider Swordsmen..
It's Crazy to me that i have to debate on whether Samurai in One Piece are considered Swordsmen or not..

He gave you straight up panels as evidence.
I tried to explain to you how flawed your logic was.

His was a straight answer.
Mine was complicated explaining to show you how wrong your claims were.

But i guess its too much :kayneshrug:.
