While some think it’s possible for us to live on Mars, I doubt it’s possible. Does the planet have oxygen we can breath? And while there were traces of water on the planet, something tells me that you can’t drink it.
These flying robots are pretty smart. Designed to accomplish the work out of reach for the rovers, their structure is very clever: very light in order to overcome Mars' extensively thin atmosphere, lower gravity notwithstanding, also thanks to its rotors. They carry the essential components, and commands are sent beforehand by flight controllers in order to overcome the sheer distance with the planet.
