I honestly think it makes a lot of sense if he has it, but Oda might choose a different route for him so that way he can highlight something completely new that Gaban is pretty good at in battle.

Also, i don't think he will tryhard against Luffy here, so he might hide his best skills until the situation gets out of control.

He's a legend and stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pirate King and Dark King. Based on the hype he's gotten he seems to have the qualities of a king. "the disposition to stand above others", I think it fits for him. I think the implications it will have on Sanji are definitely a reason to be scepticle, but we'll see. As Left-Hand Man of the Pirate King, he's more successful than 99% of pirates and he's gained a level of infamy, status and strength most will never seen. That kinda potential seems pretty kingly. The Minister of Love, I could see him rocking Conqueror's haki and further highlighting the standards of the Roger Pirates are elevated compared to every crew short of Rocks'. Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban, Oden and Shanks, I can see it. We'll know soon enough.

I think that would be pretty perfect, armament specialist vs observation specialist like Zoro and Sanji, but their legendary counterparts.
