Biggest advantage with running Swampert is that it's immune to Thunderbolts and Tyranitar can't flinch its way out it with DD Rock Slides like it does with other bulky waters.

First and foremost I want to thank everyone for participating!
Big shoutouts to @ThunderSupernova and @York in particular for avoiding meta mon spam and actually doing well in the tourney. It's always nice to see.
I acknowledge Group A was a bit hectic with so many heavy hitters but that was intentional, because I wanted to give all the players with less experience an actual chance to win games and maybe advance. Didn't exactly pan out but it was good for experimentation purposes.
Might have to do a bracket 3 because of this as there was a lot of mismatch lol
Going forward I may just stick with the Round Robin format if that's okay. Gives everyone especially new players a chance to actually play and not just immediately eliminated.
If the community wants we can start doing community bans on specific Pokemon people do not like. I got many complaints for Blissey and Suicune so they would be first on the chopping block. But let me know.
Anywho
Next tournament will be in November-December, but I'm not sure if I should jump right into Gen 4 or ranbats
Congrats to the winner @Daniel and that's for playing!

We should do a Random Battles tournament next time. Why?
The format takes teambuilding out of the equation, giving everyone a truly level playing field by assigning each participant a team. It forces players to think more strategically, making the most of the Pokémon they’ve been given against whatever the opponent has. The matches often become extremely unpredictable, with the results speak more to a player’s actual skill level and in-game critical thinking rather than just winning because they prepared a stronger team beforehand.
