A lot of hyped up characters, clearly major let downs so far from both Beast Pirates and Orochi Oniwanbasu, etc. Feel like we had a lot of missed opportunites

Hotei is by far the biggest disappointment. I remembered people were saying he's the strongest samurai of Wano.

Hotei and Orochi are my top 2 forsure, lotta potential and just big let downs

Hotei would have been a great opponent for Zoro if he was actually strong. Two master swordsmen duking it out. But Zoro vs Kaido isn't half bad either.

Ashura Douji. Oda built him up tremendously early on in Wano. He was introduced as this strong yet disillusioned Samurai warrior, and it made you wonder what could've led him astray. Oda dragged his plot line on until it was abruptly concluded, and he fell into the background as just one of the Scabbards.

He was also a convenience machine, stocking the Alliance with everything they needed out of the blue, like the mansion blueprints, warriors to fight, and ships. That wouldn't be as bad if he were introduced still having hope, but he wasn't. If you had all of that laying around, why did you brush off everyone thinking there was no point in fighting?

Easily one of the weakest Scabbards in terms of characterization.

Orochi could have been the sickest matchup for Zoro in Wano if Oden made a story around him, the build up was there, but he mad him this pathetic scrub

orochi didn't disappoint he actually achieved his goal by turning wano into a living hell.

Hotei:I thought he was a strong swordsman as to give Brook a good fight

Can I nominate the samurai as a whole for biggest disappointment? Hyped up as a military force able to deter the admirals themselves, yet there are only about 10 in the entire country worth anything at all. The rest are worthless fodder and could not fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

Not sure why Akainu hesitated to go to Wano. He’d absolutely plow through the samurai of Wano, even in the so-called better days of Loden.

Tama's ability is a dumb excuse to balance the scales, it can affect animals. it's not like humans are just another species of animals or anything.
