You either complain Zoro going from Defeating Pica to scarring Kaido, Sanji from getting clowned by Doffy to somehow be able to handle Hybrid Queen in his base as well or you don't complain about what happened to Luffy.
In Luffy's case we at least got see his growth. Not only that this is not the first time Oda make the Strawhats as strong as they need to be, just look at Water 7 and Ennies Lobby.

Most people are complaining because Luffy is distancing himself from certain characters (what would obviously happen and only blind people negated that).
So if you have been calling shit writing since Ennies Lobby then you can call this one as well shit writing but I suspect most of you don't.
it's bad writing for everyone. Bad powerscale, bad power system, bad fights.

Wano should’ve definitely been split in two. The raid failing right at the beginning of it could’ve given us more time for an actual organic training arc and final battle

and where would they hide without kaido looking for them or kaido massacring the wano citizens

Yes, because I'd much rather see the protagonist grow with my own eyes, and in a viable fashion that isn't just limited to a singular character, but rather any character can achieve the same progression, over MCs that become stronger via means that only they can achieve, because they were either born special, or something special happened to them.

Anyone who thinks that type of writing, which we see in every other series under the sun is better is straight up deluding themselves.

Yes it is good writing, all of this had a setup!
Katakuri was to learn future sight!
Udon training was for advanced coa!
Coc coating was his classical mid fight upgrade! This happens in all fucking shonnen!
Besides,Oda stated that Luffy was a Coc specialist we had never seem to actual combat application of Coc from him!
It's high time we get to see why Coc is feared by marines!

Let's be honest here, the cheap trick wouldn't have take Doffy as far as it did against Sanji if Sanji was equal or close to Doffy level. During Dressrosa arc straw hats pirates were meant to be Doffy crew level or around it, Oda just uped everyone level after that arc where only Luffy had actual growth by fighting strong opponents back to back.

To be honest, after haki introduction devil fruit advantage hardly matters.
what do you mean? he restrained the dude and was proceeding to hit him with Over heat.. what you should be honest with is even Luffy didn't move an inch in his base when doffy restrained finally for plot relevance decided to restrain him which he didn't initially.

this is flawed deduction mate.. you're taking the fact that sanji got restrained by an underhanded move as his shortcoming in incompetence when he didn't know what DF doffy was using?

"it wouldn't have taken doffy asfar as it did against him if sanji was on his level" this is a redundant statement since the whole point of restraining someone is to immobilze them which sanji was.. you can't gauge sanji on the basis of someone cheap shotting him and saying since doffy succeeded in his cheap shot sanj is definitively incompetent against him.. even tho from doffy's own words sanji is a tough opponent who was ready to jump back

your statement just give a narrow outlook on the situation and not a clear baked evidence of claims you're putting forward

How did he grow to sky split from being hit for 6 5 mins ago ?

At least we see him progressing one step at a time from Doflamingo to Cracker to Katakuri to Kaido. And he had to fight and lose to earn his power ups

Sanji went from getting owned by a genie to fighting against Queen in base and Zoro got stronger offscreen. And let's not talk about being gifted Enma and the raid suit, especially the raid suit which was a completely free powerup with no drawbacks

Luffy and the crew getting stronger in a very short time doesn't make much sense compared to the other top tiers who spent years in training. But it had to happen because the plot can't handle another timeskip
No drawbacks?

Owed by a genie?

Zoro getting stronger off screen is an asspull?

Jesus mate, what story have you been reading?

I personally thought it would be 1 haki bloom per arc, starting from WCI with CoO, Wano CoA and whatever arc post that with CoC. However, it’s clear that Kaido is just that powerful where you need all advanced types of haki to beat. Let’s not forget Luffy is a genius when it comes to combat as well as AdvCoA made CoC coating much easier.

This is pure bullshit since Luffy is basically the only one doing it.

BM was a monster since birth.
Kaido Strongest Creature.
Roger took almost 40 years to be the man Luffy will be before his 20's.

When people say shit about Zoro getting strong out of nowhere is because they are shit power scalers. Zoro not struggling during whole New World until now is what makes a good writing. Luffy struggled since Fishmen Island.

Chosen One Naruto >>> Chosen One Luffy
Disagree. At least One Piece since beginning was about Luffy being the reincarnation of Roger.
Naruto was full messed up. Although he had a demon inside him and was the son of previous Hokage he was always portrayed as a dumb kid who had to work hard to learn things and get better. But out of nowhere he surpassed all those "genius".
