I just came up with this idea randomly but hear me out…
Luffy hates Teach. Weevil hates Teach. Luffy is childish, oblivious, and manipulated by others, so is Weevil… Nami keeps Luffy on a leash and Bakkin does the same to her son.
I can see the two clashing at first but then they are forced to work together by their caretakers because of aligned interests. Nami and Bakkin have a sit down similar to the one seen in WCI with Bege
Lets be honest. Luffy’s crew is hardly enough on their own to take on Blackbeard’s massive crew filled with the world’s most dangerous pirates who all have devil fruit powers too. Everyone from Jinbe down is a non factor, they are weak-mid fighters with no haki. Even Law and his crew are about to get it
Blackbeard is amassing too much power and the Monster Quintet can’t fight to the best of their ability outnumbered and having to look out for dead weight. Teach is kidnapping people and most def recruiting alongside, we don’t even know the final captain of his fleet for sure, you can assume its Kuzan but I’m pretty sure he’s just a partner like Law to Luffy back then.
Weevil as an ally would be cool tbh. He would easily make up for the battle strength lost when Yamato didn’t join
