Zoro acquired both at the same by allowing his haki to uncontrollably flow through enma.

He trained two years with the best swordsman how to transfer haki to sword, when he awakened COC he just did the same thing he did with COA, it's not like it's a 100% new thing for him.

It's like learning a new language that is similar to one you already speak, it's much easier than learning one that you don't even know the alphabet.
