I think Krieg and Caesar are more comparable because they both used poison gases. But yeah I could see Teach pulling similar arsenal as them.

In the recent chapter we Kaido having a bulk form which reminded my of Rob Lucci in his hybrid form and there does seem some similarities between pre skip villains and post skip

-- Arlong and Hody - Both fishmen having grudge against Humans

-- Crocodile and Doflamingo - Both have good ranged techniques , good area manipulation and similar plans

-- Enel and Katakuri - Both are nigh invulnerable in their unique way -- Enel through speed and inta and kata with adv Coo , both are great Coo users and enel's DF is anti luffy's where katakuri's is similar to luffy

-- Rob Lucci and Kaido - Both are close ranged CQC fighters , both are brutal and both in a way corner luffy first time

-- Moria and Big mom -- Shadow fruit and Soul fruit are similar , both can get physically stronger etc etc

I think it's just oda's lack of originality

It's not really a specific pattern that we can use to determine upcoming vilains

Imagine a foxy 2.0 lmao

It's intentional. Pacifista was the sea king, Caesar was Smoker, etc. So the complaint makes no sense.

If we do one for Zoro and Sanji, King is basically the post-timeskip version of Mr. 1

Gin and Vergo both cracked Sanji's bones and never have conclusive endings. Queen is a mixed of Bon and Jabra imo.

Imo the Moria parallel is BB imo, Moria weakens everyone and absorbs everyone by shadow hax, BB disables and absorbs everyone by Yami hax.

I will give you a very accurate comparison that you can even use to predict future events

Crocodile and Doflamingo comparison is obvious

Big Mom is both Enel and Moria, she's delusional and want to force her view on how the world should be just like Enel , and both are portrayed as villains who know everything and see everything, basically they're the same type of villains, while the similarly with Moria are obvious ,her sweet commanders are like Enel priests, with Cracker fight resembling Sasori

Kaido is Lucci, with Zoro being the Robin of this arc and Yamato being Franky

Dragon is WB of the new World in term of role at least

Oda did some good changes to not make it obvious, but we can say the new world versions are the original ideas, and pre ts villains are the ideas being simplified to extend the length of the series, except for Crocodile
