Powers & Abilities Raid Suit: instant power-up or not?

Did people not calling Emna an instant power-up even read the manga ? That thing unleashes monstrous slashes at the slightest move and Zoro mastered it in one panel already. It's just as much an instant power-up than the Raid Suit, only more subtle.
Except prior to mastery, Enma was a liability. Since haki is a limited resource, a sword using more than you want is bad news. Plus Zoro could do that cliff cut with any of his swords without his arm being a dried up husk.

The RS wasn't described as having any sort of drawback, nor did Sanji mention lack of mastery hindering his performance.

G4 was stated to waste haki.

I think some people don't understand what power-up is.

Power-Ups for Sanji are increased Durability, Speed, Strike Force (Acceleration) and Invisibility. RS is a POWER tool that gives you these power-ups.

Regarding Enma, it a TRAINING tool that gives you a power-up, stronger Haki once you master it + you yourself should be strong enough to not die of exhaustion.

The difference between a power tool and training tool is that without Raid Suit, Sanji can't have those Durability, Speed, Strike Force and Invisibility, while Zoro's Haki will be as strong, as it is after mastering Enma even without Enma itself.

And yes, all those power-ups are instant, does not require any training and will be gone without RS.
some facts are being said here :cheers::myman:

I was thinking that the raid suit can be a training tool to help sanji increase the heat of his dj because the rs is fire resistant which means it will take a lot of fire power for him to use dj (think of it like in dragon ball when goku and krillin used the turtles weights to get stronger). This can help him power up because when he takes off the rs he will have even stronger dj than he usually does

I dont know whether this topic has been discussed or not. There is some people that view Enma as a pure training wheel, some others view Enma as pure power-up. I think, for Zoro, it's a bit of both. A sword that, if used correctly, will be superior to Zoro's previous sword due to its (maybe) sharpness, hardness, demonic spirit, etc.

Meanwhile, imo many people view the Raid Suit as an instant power-up. I slightly disagree with this. It doesnt have side effect that sucks haki (Enma), but it's a piece of sophisticated technology. Doesn't technology requires a competence / mastery to use correctly? Like if you dont know how to activate and control the speed boosters, wouldn't it be harmful to yourself in the fight? Like too uncontrollably fast and hitting the wall or passing by the enemy without able to deal damage to him, that sort of thing?

How do you think about this? Is Raid suit a free power-up? A precision and control training wheel? A mix of both?
Well, I think Rs is going to get destroyed by someone really strong, after that Sanji will realize that he won't get invisible anymore triggering Sanji's final rage form :choppawhat:

Raidsuit is a powerup tool to give sanji attributes he doesnt have.
he already has them attributes speed, durability and he can walk on air. The only two thing gives him a power up is defense with the cap and invisibility which is technically not really a power up Because it can be counteracted by observation haki, which is basically a useless ability in combat especially when facing off against two yonko crew.

Raid Suit Is the definition an Instant Power up :

1. It increases your durability as soon as you put it on due to it’s cape. (noted by Sanji when he got hit by Page 1)

2. It grants you invisibility. Sanji didnt have to train to use this he got it immediately when he used the suit.

3. Doesnt really apply much to Sanji but it also grants the user the ability to fly.

My point is Sanji didnt need to train in order to unlock or awaken these powers. They came with the suit making them an instant power up.

To know if it is an instant power up or not, just access the effect it will have on a normal one piece character...say an ordinary citizen or someone like Spandam.

If Spandam wears a RS, he will get the instant boosts such as durability, flight , invisibility..etc.
Hence it is an instant power up...quite simple

Invsiblity is useless unless you are strong enough to put someone down and make it counter

Sanji speed is what makes the invsiblity useful. IF sanji used a sword with invsiblity then i would say its over powered because a sword stab can be fatal when sneak attacked by invsiblity.

Durability increase is the same as holding a sword. Swordmens get something to block with and never risk their hands or legs. Luffy has rubber fruit so only haki attack effects him. Him flying into a wall doesn't hurt him at all. So this is not really a instant power up just something that Sanji was handicapped with in the first place and now hes not anymore.

Flying and acceleration device doesn't matter because Sanji is already faster and can fly without it.

It does, greater speed = greater power.
The speed is not greater. Sanji raid suit speed isn't shown to be faster than his normal speed.

I would've agreed with the last part if Niji didn't mock Sanji's speed while putting the RS in his Pocket. It was a clear RS hype and feat of speed. Unless you think that base Niji is waaaay faster than Sanji...

This is true.....However it should be noted, The person wearing the suit Matters...There is a reason why Yonji got fucked up by Sanji and why Judge did not. Theres a reason why Ichiji had a raid suit but that didnt stop him from getting fodderized by a commander. You dont jump a whole tier in the suit , Once you put on the raid suit , You remain in that same tier you were in before just a bit more Versatile. If you compare Sanjis perfomance against page one to his interactions with Oven and Daifuku, Theres not that much difference aside from him being invisible and being more durable. Sanji was already easily able to Hit veteran level individuals without the raid suit.
and he also got overpowered in a similar manner, without the raid suit and with the raid suit.
the only difference being he didnt take as much damage in the raid suit.
