She can't break Teach's hold with Haki, Darkness cancels DF power only so she could still use Haki, but Teach's Haki was stronger.
Haki doesn't cancel DF power, I don't know where you get this idea Teach needs to use Haki only to fight DF users. He has darkness to counter, the rest was his Haki.
