For the sake of this thread let's assume each of these armies is given the same amount of men : 200k.
However these men are not neccesarily equal. They're made of the same mold as in canon which means Kanki gets 200k bandits, Shin gets 200k hi-shin unit caliber men and so on.

How would you rank the armies listed above? From top to bottom.

The two strongest are definitely the Renpa army and the Riboku army. Kisui is a bit of a weak link but the other 4 make up for it. Gouhoumei and Kochou both only have one impressive subordinate.

Seika actually looks very impressive compared to some of the other armies in this group. I think the Jiaga debacle has lead to them getting underrated

I was gonna put Renpa at #1 but saw that you gave Keisha to Riboku, he's the best vassal by far here so I'm gonna go with him. Renpa a close second.

Why do you have the Ousen army over the Riboku army?

Riboku has Keisha, Bananji and SSJ under him in this scenario, and all 3 are Heavenly King level or above

Ousen only has one Heavenly King level commander in Akou under this scenario. Shiryou isn't even a general iirc, just a commander while Riboku has 4.

In direct confrontation of armies, Ousen proved himself as better commander with his tactics and counters in Shukai central battlefield where Riboku got cornered pretty badly with zero replies to Ousen's movements.

Ousen can counter Riboku's best strategical/instinctual move which Riboku created with Keisha.

Also Keisha might be GG level but so is Akou. Other than that, Ousen also has Shiryuu whose strength alone is or above HK level.

Though we haven't seen Denrimi and Sou'ou leading a campaign or army in solo yet but Denrimi has great capabilities and has good commanders under him. You can't underestimate these two.

Ousen himself thinks Riboku is better in live tactics just based on his moves on the wings. Even if you think Ousen is better it's still Riboku Army that has huge advantage in quality of vassals. SSJ is better strategical vassal then Denrimi, Bananji is physically stronger then anyone in Ousen Army, Kisui was noted to have great general level morale boosts and Keisha to this day has one of the best instincts in the series.

On top of that Zhao already has Shields ad Joints figured out so Akou won't be as effective staller as he was on Shukai Plains. Shiryou is a good fighter, but she only operates in a team with Sou'ou. To compete they would need at least one more general.

Yeah I can't see Denrimi and Sou'Ou competing with SSJ and Bananji very long. They're not weak but they're just not at that level

I see this battle once again being decided by who has the superior pawns, and Riboku definitely has the advantage there. Kisui, his weakest general is better than all of Ousen's commanders except for Akou.

I can't see Bananji and SSJ holding on for long enough with regular armies against Sou'ou with Shiryuu and Denrimi with 3 jokers respectively. Both are getting done here.

Nahh. Makou with his wave attack massacres Kisui army for a while and Kisui was trying to counter but wasn't successful.

It's just we haven't saw Sou'ou and Denrimi leading separate wing/army like Akou and Makou did but they surely would be having decent capabilities. Lol

I mean SSJ is stalling YTW's mountain mad lads right now and even gave Ousen trouble in a siege.

Bananji with his tactical abilities would probably be able to sniff out a few traps. Plus he's Kaishibou level martially at bare minimum in base mode

I wasn't thinking of Makou since he wasn't included in the op's post. With all of Kisui 's hype and portrayal I can't see him being below Denrimi and Sou'Ou, despite Shukai anti feats

Sou'Ou and Denrimi arguing in front of their men makes me think they could be victim to nasty tactics from SSJ, though idk.
