how would you rate the Samurai hype that oda built up ? Did oda deliver ? Did he disappoint you ?

my opinion:

it was one of the biggest disappointments;

- too much for the country that the marines fears to get near

- shogun being a nasty looking terrible version of spandam for oda and his creepy oden obsession…

- Not a SINGLE antagonist samurai…
as usual everyone and their mothers joins the Luffy Fan Club in this manga

- horrible designs…
fat Samurai with pink hair ?
Ninjas with huge heads ?

- zoro has zero development with this samurai shit how ironic

- the fish guy took oda 30 chapters to hype him only to become the most irrelevant one…shit had me feeling like it was some crazy reveal

- kyoshiro joining Luffy fan club

- Oden … no comment

overall my rating would be:
2/10 and that is by trying to be objective as possible because otherwise we would be talking about under zero here.

They're a strong group. Hyogoro in his prime is likely > any of the Scabbards currently. And each Scabbard has strong haki and quite a few are formidable in the New World by virtue of their skills alone.

Story wise? Meh. Orochi feels like such an afternote despite us spending quite a bit of time with him in Act 2. Kyoshiro got boring once the Denjiro reveal went through, Ashura Doji isn't remarkable either. I'd say Hyogoro, Kin'emon, O'Kiku and Izo are the saving graces of the Wano Kuni samurai.

dont count transgender samurai as a disappointment. even sanji is transgender
so much annoying kinemon only doing yelling and crying but cant do a shit.
that ninja ugly af i mean wtf he couldnt made up some cool ninja like sasuke

akaysa 9 , momo, carrot,tama annoying side characters ever. all deserve death in wano :finally:

Oden was a legendary character for me!
Kyoshiro,Shutenmaru and Fishman samurai are strong fighters!
Dukes vs Jack was good!
Kanjuro related stuff was also good and dramatic!
Overall I rate them:6/10!
If Oda didn't Hype them so much I would give:8/10!
Gotta remember Wano is a single country,WG is an alliance of 20 countries!
Wano:
Ryuma WSS of the past!
Oden legend of the past!
Hyogoro former heavy hitter!
Scabbards=fighters ranging from veteran- yonko commander level!All can injure Kaido with Ryuo!
Ninja and Samurai=Strong fighters!Stronger than weak vice admirals and lower ranked marines!
Considering Alabasta,one of the countries that is part of WG couldn't stop Crocodile!I consider Wano one of the strongest Countries in the World!
I think if Doffy tried to conquer Wano,he would fail miserably!

1/10 why? Bc Oden was the only recognizable and decent samurai

-Kin’emon as a leader is disappointing and weak asf. Same with hotei so wtf are the marines worried about again?!?!???

-Orochi was dogshit legit Raizo’s evil twin like wtf kind of pathetic design was that??? When i heard dude could use 2 sword style i was thinking hmmm…could he really be the ultimate match for Zolo??? I mean he is they seem to be the same level but still disappointing……sigh

Kyoshiro gave me such massive Gin (bleach) vibes, it was obvious he was gonna betray Orochi but I hoped he'd be an antagonist still. Him vs Zoro would've been a good fight before Zoro went to fight Kaido

Despite how horrible the samurai and ninja were nothing and i mean NOTHING compares to big mom’s children….once again smoothie does NOTHING she’s legit sakura from naruto

this lets you know oda can’t balance a lot of characters well

Anyways samurai hype is just paper tiger just like most of the Oda post skip hypes. Hypes to the peak but fails in action. For example, fight should have been intense between Kaidou and Oden and Oden ahould have scarred hybrid Kaidou and then people will believe Oden is actually top tier. Instead Kaidou got scarred because he was in dumbass dragon form.
