General & Others Reading one piece from the begining, should I skip flashbacks?

Im caught up on English anime, I'm reading the manga now and just finished marineford.

Would you recommend skipping the flashback to sabo and ace growing up?

I remember it lasting way too long in the anime, and I honestly think Oda only added sabo as an afterthought because he wanted Luffy to have a brother character but already committed to killing Ace
