Oh god @Jailer you liked my post and I was reminded of it now naturally AND I just realised the absolute sheer irony of it! The memes of Kidd getting wrecked by Monster of all people! I can't believe I set myself up like this in hindsight!
It will blow up soon, its weird to see it get so little love but its gonna become one of the most active FCs soon hopefully! Shanks and Blackbeard arcs are finally arriving now after WAY too damn long and its gonna be great to see the RHP actually fighting and going all out!
Since they apparently gave "fake" fighting styles for them in Film Red, I wonder what their real fighting styles will be? I was underwhelmed with the info about them from Film Red so I'm relieved to hear this, I've been extremely anxious/hyped to know how they fight especially as top tiers, the most balanced/strongest crew and just being "mere humans" generally who managed to stand equeal with absolute titans of the OP world.
Shanks and his crew truly feel like the David to the Goliaths of the giants at Elbaf butt they love him and his crew and I'm really curious and excited to find out why. Shanks has Norse/Scandinavian mythology/cultural influences on him and Elbaf is the same too ofc, so we're finally getting that LONG awaited payoff in this regard. Given giants are said to be the strongest race or warriors I think, the strongest country or something like that and that Oda was heavily inspired by Vicky The Viking (and surely Asterix and Obelix too), I can't WAIT to see what the RHP are capable of, along with Shanks himself, despite being a Kidd stan myself too ofc LMAO!
I can't find the meme of Kidd and Monster either too sadly but I'm sure you guys know it ofc lol.
This is my favourite thing Boichi did. He made Shanks look incredibly vicious, badass, intimidating etc here. A true Viking-esque warrior god or something. Its how I wish Shanks to present himself soon and truly show his wrath like he did to Green Bull especially but even more so. No more "Pirate Games", true cuthroat, cold blooded piracy in action.
Just like his captain who was rumoured to slaughter an emey pirate crew for laughing at their dreams or w/e.
I still get chills from that moment with Roo/Roux in the beginning and that bandit. That scene and Shanks dialogue always impacted me and made agonisngly wait for moments like that again, especially from Shanks himself.
