Seeing as the so called "general consensus" of reddit were vehemently anti-Trump with rules created on reddit that pretty gave the mods over there the go-to for censoring and banning any Trump supporters that they encountered (now with encouraged reporting) on r/Politics, if anyone said that the general consensus online were anti-Trump supporters, chances are they'd be trying to gaslight you into believing something.

I don't use either , but 4chan >> reddit. Basically due to this:

reddit: extremism + censorship

4chan: extremism but has actual freedom of speech

Free speech >>> controlled speech.

Some hilarious stuff come out of 4chan too. I remember the shai lebouf trolling back in the days.

4chan is useless , you just take grain of salt. I never used and can’t figure out how website works. Reddit is user friendly but it mob upvote even if popular opinion is wrong .
Use YouTube forum for gaming / anime . You can see yourself on video games on YouTube videos.

Youtube has giga censorship too.

I mostly don't even comment on politics, most of my activity in YT is health and gaming related, and more than half my comments just vanish or get shadow banned.

Youtube comment section is basically unusable for having a proper discussion at this point.
