Speculations Regarding Kaido in 923

so there is something that has been bugging me lately and its a certain panel of kaido in chapter 923. its this one:

whats bugging me about this picture is that it doesnt look like kaido is angry in this picture (at least it doesnt seem so to me). for me it looks more like a face of ''hope''. the hope that when luffy was attacking that he may be the one that finally does him in. thinking: ''will you do it, brat? will you finally be the one to put me down?''

maybe im just looking way too much into this, but lemme know if you guys feel the same or not

I am not seeing his expressions as expression of hope. His eyes are totally devoid of hope here.

Also if you see his forehead, then it has something like wrinkles(like Doffy had when he was pissed) which imply he is angry.
