How someone can unironically think this is a potential appearance Luffy can take is beyond me, at least the Monkey King/Sun Wukong one kinda made sense.
Because in concept it's not that far off from what we got, except Oda used an in-universe legendary figure instead of an IRL one. It being disliked doesn't mean it's nonsensical, even though I personally didn't agree with it myself.
