Oh wow, did not know Oda officially confirmed Kuma basically sending each Strawhats to an island where they could improve after witnessing and testing them in Thriller Bark.

Also underlines that he was never trying to kill Zoro, it was basically a test for the partner of Luffy.

Oda has given all the SHs the care they needed especially the original 5. Their setup their names their background their birthdays have so much meaning but the one that isn't a straightforward and is complicated was Sanji and is still Sanji you could have gotten deeper in your post. What Spirals on Sanji means and Oda has compared Sanji to a Devil Fruit. And with what we have gotten from his WCI flashback i wouldn't be surprised if Judge was trying to augment Devil Fruits in his children if their eyebrows aren't inherited from their parents.
Even his original Name was supposed to be Naruto. The Great Naruto bridge that connects cities in Japan look up whats famous about this bridge.

^ Spiral eyebrows.

Honestly there so much more about Sanji. Great post tho.

You're overthinking it: "Naruto" itself means "whirlpool" and Sanji was getting that name after this culinary ingredient:

Oda had to change the name from Naruto in respect for the Naruto writer. And Oda loves playing with words and puns and meanings and ofc the ingredient is part of the naming. Yes i might be over thinking it but cmon. The bridge that connects cities ? connecting all blues and cooking for everyone ? i could be reaching and i am aware of that 100% but. The name Sanji with the pronunciation of how the Japanese word English words for all we know Oda could have again played different puns and wordings here.

San = 3 and can be pronounced Sun too. What does the Sun do to the Sea? Flow energy and heat to the Sea and raises its temperature something that Cooks do to cook. Sanji's favorite dishes are Sea food. What else the Sun do to the Sea? Create currents and How Whirlpool are created ? "A whirlpool is a body of rotating water produced by opposing currents or a current running into an obstacle"

:milaugh::milaugh::milaugh: I could be overthinking and reaching here but i am not the 1st one to discover this and maybe i am not the best to explain these thoughts but all i can say that Oda is a genius.

If I had to say who hates Sanji, it's Toei animation.
Yeah honestly that's kinda sucks lol.
Oda dont hate Sanji. Zoro retards hate Sanji and claim that. Why ? Simple . How a cook can become as strong as Zoro . Sanji during the OP manga history , after luffy and nami , the one who got the most panel appereance .

But oda made mistake one issue. Before timeskip , we read lots of time sanji strategy , clever and coolest moment. İ dont even remember one moment after post time skip. all of them was tranferred to Law.
To be fair, Law is the one that comes up with grand plan cuz he's a captain. Like I don't see Sanji saying he'll take down Kaido or anything like that on his own lol. In Dressrosa, Sanji was the one who advises Law the most. So Sanji's tactician moment is still there, it's just that he has to share it with Law which I don't see no problem with.
He doesn't hate Sanji, he just not give him love.
Not convinced? Then I have an example. In a recent official statement, Oda gave Zoro & Nami two of the greatest DF ever, Azure Dragon & Thunder fruit. Then Oda gave Franky a very suitable DF, which fits his body. Oda also gave Usopp a DF who can be used at its maximum potential in his hands. YET, Oda gave Sanji a DF that won't even work well with any of his skill sets. Sanji is a very versatile character, there is a plethora of DF that can fit him. But No. Oda didn't think so.
Agreed with the first statement. But your paragraph though, I don't think Sanji getting Senor's DF is a downplay for him. It's supposed to represents Sanji's swimming skill and stealth ability which is something Sanji is good at. Like, he can swim underground and finds a certain location easier. For example, Sanji can spots Pica inside his Golem and one shots him from there. Hell, he might even drown some devil fruits users too. Senor's fruit is actually broken if you think about it.

Year of Sanji in his own arc what was his most impressive feat?

That's right... baking a cake
if you want to read the manga just based of fights, action or something you can read lots of manga better than one piece in terms of that feature. appanrantly , you are lack of sense about reading manga smart guy.

I did not know stating an objective fact about Sanji hurt your feelings so badly... can't handle the heat... get out of the kitchen

The guy is pissed because you only seems to emphasize on the baking a cake part, but not what the goal and implications of that action. This action is the biggest save from heroSanji in the entire manga.

Especially when the save is finally about other people (and a lot of people too), and not just the SH. Mr Prince, aligator banana, delaying Arc Maxim, opening Gate of Justice, even saving Momo falls flat in comparison.

Sanji (no DF included) is the most versatile character in OP, you can practically give him any DF and it can work in some way.

The problem with Swim DF is that the stealth abilities it gives is too niche/one way and have very few applications, too dependant on situation.
From the very first arc until now, thay fruit can only be applicable in a few scenarios. All of which can be substituted by similar functioning df.

The other four df plays with those character's strength and traits, and simply befitting their arsenal. Swim fruit ONLY extend one of many Sanji's abilities, it doesnt help:

- His main role, cooking
- Flying capabilities
- Fire/elemental damage
- Kick/fighting style
- Hero acts/saving people

Oda used the "stealth" reason because he wants to degrade Sanji even more with the "peeping" abilities of Swim DF.

If he truly appreciate Sanji, Phoenix DF fits Sanji more, because it can help all of those traits I posted above (also nice opposition with Zoro's azure dragon).

I do kind of understand Swim Fruit though. Imagine, if awakened, Sanji can pass through living beings and alter the landscape. Combining with invisibility, that basically gives you a character whose abilities resemble a kind of pseudo-Obito, an extremely extremely tricky combatant to deal with.
To everyone btw, Oda appreciates and loves Sanji, he gave him the respect he deserved, which he failed to give by not making him a part of Supernovas, by naming him as a part of the “New Generation” along with Luffy, Kid, Law, Zoro, Bepo and Killer. Mind you that even Jinbei, Yamato and other SNs were not named as part of this group. He also, canonically, grouped him together with Zoro as a wing of the pirate king, basically confirming that Zoro and Sanji are Luffy’s right and left hand men. Also add the gags, background and personality, this, imho, gives you Oda’s one of most favorite characters.

1. Yeah, I can see that. Pseudo-invincible if the awakened version could do it.

2. One reason why some people like Sanji is because he gets a lot of perks without him being glorified. A hidden/shadow character that actually is just as strong/capable is a trope some people like. It is cool in some way.
