For those speculqting about Yamato’s devil fruit, here’s a reminder about the general Scheme of how mythical Devil fruits are classified. Its one mythical fruit model per type

Bird type Mythical Model Phoenix
Snake type Mythical Model Yamata no Orochi
Dog type Mythical Model Kitsune
Human type Mythical Model Daibutsu
Fish type Mythical Model Azure Dragon

Meaning there are many Bird type devil fruits models but only one mythical one.

Therefore Yamato’s devil fruit cannot be one of the above types

So far we do not have a Cat type Mythical Model, or an Ox type Mythical model, or an elephant type mythical model, or a Horse type mythical model, or insect mythical model, or spider type mythical model or a Dragon type mythical model (Remember all the Dinosaurs are Dragon type ancient Models)

So yamato could be one of the above.

While I think a "one mythical model per type" limit could make sense considering the rarity of mythicals, no such rule has been stated anywhere.

Why would there be only 1 type for every mythical zoan df model? There are a bunch of myths that have animals. This would limit the story just cuz. Like why can't there be a mythical dog model type cerberus? That's a good df right there that oda could do alot with if he wanted.

If you think yamato df is something from a model already shown cool but don't make up your own rules then apply it to the story as fact.

Mutt mutt fruit: Nine tailed fox
Snake snake fruit: Orochi
Human human fruit: Daibutsu
Fish fish fruit: Seiryu
Bird bird fruit: Phoenix

Since Seiryu exists the existence of:
Turtle turtle fruit: Genbu
Cat cat fruit: Byakko
These should also exist

That really just leaves the dragon dragon fruit and insect insect fruit

Yea and we don't know a exact number of either. Mythical zoan can be rarer than logia and have multiple model types. This would be like saying logia df can only have 1 elemental type per df. So snow df shouldn't exist because ice df is there same with fire and magma dfs. This is the logic here and if it wouldn't work for logia why should it for zoans? There's no reason to think mythical zoan can only have 1 type per model.

How isn't it the same. The thought process is another type of same df can't exist cuz the story can only have 1. So is say a cerberus cuz we have kistsune then fire df shouldn't exist since we we have magma df. It's the same but it clearly works for logia why wouldn't it for zoans? No it's not cuz their rarer since we don't know the number of each.

Excluding fruits we don't know their names of, and those two you mentioned (Ryu Ryu and Mushi Mushi), we'd still need mythical models for these families:

-Kumo Kumo.

-Ushi Ushi.

-Uma Uma.

-Zou Zou.

-Sara Sara.

i think we'll get very few mythical zoans since they are made to be super rare. but i don't think it'll follow this rule of 1 per type tbh
