Giving the Goat of the Big 3 a rewatch for the 56546536536453 time and it always feels like watching it for the first time, is it the same for everyone else?

Currently on ep 17 Ichigo v Renji and Byakuya.

really wondering why neither my goat Urahara or my queen Yoruichi didnt help given they end up brekaing into SS anyways, was it strictly to show Ichigo how inferior he was and that he needed to train in order to make it to SS, maybe a lot couldve been avoided?

I know that feeling....I also watched it many times, same with few other animes.

I rather watch older animes 100 times than watch most of newer animes.

One of the best introductions of two new characters.

I always enjoy the SS and Arrancar arc/saga. :steef:

Especially because of the old anime style :amazing:

I am pretty sure they didn’t help him because so we could get this

After this trauma, everyone would get stronger :chopoff:

Bleach is so dope, especially before the FKT arc. I wish we got more screentime for both Urahara and Yoruichi, both are god level characters, and their chemistry is chef's kiss.
As for why they didn't help - well, yes, the younger gen has to train somehow, so I like to think that they were kinda checking the situation but letting Ichigo grow and overcome all the obstacles on his own.

new age anime is too flashy for every little things these days some are fine in regards to fights but not every detail needs to be inflated to all hell hahah

but i rewatch a lot of 90s mid 2000s hayday animes as well

Renjis switch up always annoyed me from the intro to rescue with ichi.

and my 2 facorites as well i enjoy Arrancar more though, that was true peak & the fights were perfect no OP/broken nonsense, but looking back in the grand scheme of the overall story arrancars were so weak compared to the damn quincies lol kubo really effed up there for my guy starkk..

The number of power-ups that Ichigo received from the start of the series all the way up to the Byakuya fight certainly helped. Otherwise, Ichigo would have never made it past the first two arcs intact.

Unrelated to the above response, but the fight scenes in the manga were more visceral, while the ones in the anime seemed relatively tame. Barely any tension in some of those fights at all.

Currently on ep 20 ichigo just called out Zangetzu, seeing how easily Urahara dodged and didnt flinch we all shouldve known he was him, but then ichigo wouldve taken off his arm was also a good setup for how he would be able to hang in SS

well technically they werent powerups they are dormany and he was finally realizing and being taught how to access them from Urahara and Yoru possibly the 2 best teachers to have.

I agree, either the animation is too flashy or really worse. :josad:

Same, they are more fun to watch

Yep I liked the Arrancar saga also more (favorite one of Bleach, the second one is Soul Society arc).

The fights were really good not only because they had "normal" abilities but also because many of the fights were team fights that showed how powerful they were.

Plus the fights were longer and the osts were also better imo. (compared too the Sternritter arc)

Well, are the Arrancars really so much weaker than the Sternritters? Because they are Hollows they can damage the Quincies more than the Shinigamis right?

But even if they are weaker, the Arrancar are still the better enemies/characters imo.
