Controversial Rob Lucci Disappointment Thread

Powerwise he did much better than many have expected him to perform (just check the Lucci Pl thread).
Remember, he's got a bottom barrel basic zoan and mastered Rokushiki and still somewhat pushed Post Wano Luffy and even more so Zoro.
With how stagnant Lucci's character has been, if any character has a decent chance at joining the HK, I think it's him, so with another boost, he could potentially return as someone that has left YC behind him, though I doub't we'll get to see more than a few cling clang panels
Characterwise Oda completely wasted him.
I think based on the cover story of the former CP9, Oda initially had different plans for them, but ultimately wasn't sure what to do with them or where to squeeze them into, so he just brought them back as throwaway opponents without any character development whatsoever...
I get the whole ordeal about Lucci just being a bloodlusted bastard, that only cares about having the permission to kill without suffering from consequences, but him alongside the other former CP9 just re-joining the WG, after they hunted them and used them as scapegoats for the EL incident without any explanation whatsoever, is just lazy writing.
