Future Events Rocks, Wano and Beyond.

So what I've been finding pretty fascinating is that before the Reverie we had no idea this crew even remotely existed, nor this partnership between two Yonko (at one point three) and how big its ramifications might be on the world. Currently the Marines and Blackbeard are busy fighting over something else (Pluton?), but "Rocks" gathering at Wano seems to be an even bigger point Oda is making lately.

So here's a question I want to ask all of you, should it be considered "Rocks" if only Big Mom and Kaido are present? What of the other former Pirates? Where are they? We know canonically:

- Shiki escaped Impel Down 20+ years ago and was amassing his own animal army. This is CANON. The movie however, is not. Will Oda ever re-address this?
- Captain John is dead, his corpse was used on Thriller Bark.
- Ochoku/Wang Zhi is MIA
- Silver Axe is MIA

These are the notable names mentioned in Chapter 957 when Sengoku discussed Rocks. Now, why is this important? Because something like this happened before, with Blackbeard and his Level 6 breakout:

Ivankov goes to mention these characters, all of whom join Blackbeard's crew merely 30 chapters later. So why is this important? I think Oda is about to drop a bombshell: Kaido and Big Mom are not the only Rocks Pirates at Wano.

In fact, I believe Silver Axe and Ochoku were possibly several of the former Level 6 Prisoners that also escaped but did not join Blackbeard, according to Brandnew when discussing the matter with Sengoku after Whitebeard's death. Oda namedropping these characters so recently in the middle of an arc leads me to believe they will play a role soon.

To me, it only makes narrative sense for Oda, who on Chapter 907, teased the partnership of Big Mom and Kaido, then 50 chapters later, full on explains the Rocks crew and its members. On top of this, its clear that Bakkin, Shakky and Weevil have an affiliation with the crew too. Not only this, but Nekomamushi went to go look for Marco, a former Whitebeard pirate. If Marco didn't return with him, surely Neko decided to look for other former Roger/Whitebeard pirates he knew? To me, I feel like this comes full circle for what Oda is trying to achieve here. All of this namedropping is starting to make me believe he's about to put together the majority of the crew back together again, save for Whitebeard and their Captain (or...maybe he's still alive?).

To me, the above means two things: Additional Rocks related characters are coming to Wano one way or another, and we are going to have a variety of Rocks related plotlines down the road. Considering of where the plot is going and Kaido going down this arc, I feel like the immediate "Rocks" threat will be put down, but since Blackbeard seems like "Rocks 2.0" in terms of his chaotic nature, one can't help but wonder if some of these former Rocks members will flock over to Blackbeard.

Better yet, I am expecting some sort of Rocks related flashback this arc to further tease/explain these concepts.

Give me your thoughts, I do feel like we are in for something bigger than only Big Mom/Kaido this arc, but I can't put my finger on exactly what that is.

Shiki would not, Shakky would not, Silver Axe ouchoku and all etc can join blackbeard. The rest of the Rocks Pirates suck anyway. Blackbeard has got a garbage crew.

Shiki’s been teased/featured in non-canon stuff for so long, it would be criminal not to give him something to do in the main series. What better time than the arc when several of his former crew mates have already reunited?

As far as Silver Axe/Ochoku, I assume they’re dead like John and possibly under Moriah’s command as per that panel from Thriller Bark we’re all familiar with...it that’s the case, and the Gecko joins Blackbeard, kinda throws a wrench into them teaming up with the surviving Rocks members.

You honestly might be right, and I totally didn't even realize there were theories on this already:

It honestly makes sense if they are all dead save for Shiki. HOPEFULLY Shiki shows up soon, and it would be cool if his animal army was part of this war, just more awesome chaos and drawings for Oda to do.
