Law is considered one of luffy's rivals plus he is on friendly terms with him just like WB was with Roger

Law and Kid are allies of Luffy. Not friends or nakama. Roger and WB were never allies and in fact they were enemies at God Valley. Again, Kaido and Katakuri same thing.

Why did Wb fail to defeat Roger?
Why is Kaido the strongest creature but not the strongest pirate?
These titles do not matter. The characters have to prove themselves to us in the fight

I think so too. The fact an unhealthy Roger would be able to match Whitebeard was probably plot circumstantial, but the two were likely always damn close in power.

Even Garp himself stood relatively close to Roger overall. :cheers:
