My argument has always been the same, if it doesn't '' cut '' and the Blade doesn't make contact it's not a swordskill..
CoC Coating will never be a Swordskill..

No because if you remove the Sword with a baseball bat or bare fist it has the same no touching effect.. The Sword is a non factor in CoC Coating, that's the point..

Because he is a DF user with multiple tools that he uses completely independantly of his sword, which he doesn't use sword techniques with.

Unlike Roger, who, you know, uses a sword with sword techniques mostly. He can probably scrap barehanded and we have seen him with pistol once, but whenever we saw him against top tiers, he used a sword.
