even if it doesn't flow that well in english..

I wonder ; did reading and translating the raws themselves make you think of the chapter any differently ?

May I suggest trying to translate an old chapter (or the newest) without checking any translation first ? I think that would be entertaining to read.

Yes it changes a lot.

People think for example Zoro said to Lucci you are strong that implies he is really strong etc.
But in reality Zoro just said you are persistent, you don't wanna give up.

if for example, Zoro ends Lucci with one move. You would probably think "wait how in one move ? why oda says lucci is fucking strong to be defeated in one move next chapter ?". That changes your perception about the manga, and Oda loses credits among the audience too.

People think translation are easy, 0 impact etc. But in manga or even book, it changes a lot and has lots of impact in reading/comprehension skills.

I agree. lately they read many fantrads so they want to be different so they use many illogical and unfitting words. They forget it's a shonen for kids mainly, stay simple = more efficiency .
