lol i heard people comparing zoro to other fictional characters, but let's clear this out, Zoro was Kenshin Himura, but with a twist.

Zoro was inspired from an anime called Samurai X or Rourouni Kenshin in live action adaptation, afterall Samurai X creator is former sensei of oda.

if Kenshin was Mario Zoro is Wario, everything kenshin was is the opposite of zoro,

Kenshin is Polite, Zoro is Rude

Kenshin was a sadistic killer in the past turn Good, Zoro was a Pirate Hunter turn Pirate

Kenshin doesn't kill, Zoro does

Kenshin has the most nerf weapon, the sharpness of his blade forge in the opposite , zoro likes the best blades and he will cry a river just to get one.

Kenshin has a sense of humor, Zoro is Boring af.

Kenshin loves a girl name kaoru, Zoro loves a man name Mihawk

so the question if zoro was a copy cat knock off version? yes off course, after all' he has the same name with another ficitional mexican swordsman who also happens to wear bandana.

I'm not familiar with this series but my impression is that he wasn't quite inspired to Spanish Zorro amongst all characters probably unlike some can shallowly speculate.

Zoro means hero of the golden dawn so maybe this is why he is often put alongside with the moon.

It's been a long time since I watched Rurouni Kenshin, so I may be mistaken, but didn't Kenshin actually kill people before deciding to stop killing them?

On the other hand, I don't think it has been confirmed that Zoro killed anyone in the series.

But at least the other points are correct.
