Speculations Ryokugyo must be an extremely important character. What is so special about him?

Oda has been teasing Ryokugyo for far too long. Out of all the "major world powers"(Shichibukai, Worst gen, yonko, marines, revolutionaries) that Doffy mentioned in the whole Throne wars panel, he is the ONLY one who has yet to be revealed.

why? Oda had multiple opportunities. He could have introduced him after dressrosa, after WCI, or even during the reverie, but the best we have for him is a silhouette. Why? Why is Oda holding out so much on Ryokugyo?

there has to be something special about Ryokugyo and it must be something more than him being an admiral. So what can it be? Here are my thoughts:
  1. he is an arc villain
  2. he is a character we have already seen before
  3. he is related to a character we already know
what do you guys think? Why is Oda still holding out one Ryokugyo

I think Oda is saving him until he meets the SH for real. Since he’s an admiral, he is probably going to be an arc villain at some point, or at least one of the key players. I don’t think he is going to be someone we’ve already met

This. I was thinking that Oda was waiting for an opportunity to reveal his looks when he got into action, so we could also see his powers, but he could have done that already when he fought the Revos. So I guess the missing link is meeting the Straw Hats

Yamato used adcoc Thunder Bagua and dealt 0 damage, fighting back was pointless. Why else would she call Luffy for help?

Neko, Inurashi and Denjiro => King, all 3 of them are YC3

Not to mention the other vet lvl Scabbards that were present which also couldn't do anything against Ryo

Dumbass if Momo wasn't about to get stabbed and juiced why the hell did Shanks have to step in? Fucking dumbass lol
