Speculations Sabo Vs Shamrock ?

Oh, right. I almost forgot the very old fan theory of Blackbeard having the Cerberus devil fruit or hippo, the famous association with the number 3.
Well, I guess it's not out of this world. Darkness + Cerberus would also fit.
Shiryu is an interesting candidate for another "power-up" (devil fruit sword). Since many people currently don't buy him being able to give Zoro a good fight, this could make up for it a little.
The invisibility is good and all but something to increase his striking force would be nice. Let's see, since the Blackbeard Pirates are most likely going after the ancient weapons. Anyone with a devil fruit that's in Wano or on Fishmen island is potentially at risk of getting their powers stolen.
And it doesn't have to stop with Shiryu. Doc Q could get another one into his Scythe, which would make him a 3 devil fruit User, combined with his Horse Stronger etc.
(And of course none of this has to happen, just fun speculating).

Shamrock still seems more like a Loki match up right now.
And outside of that it's also a powerlevel issue: he's Shanks' twin with regeneration, an ability sword and enhanced physical strength.
Oda can easily make him one of the strongest of all time, which would back up his confidence towards Loki.

Sure, I had Sabo vs Shamrock for quite some time:
I have Dragon vs Garling too, and so Sabo vs Shamrock makes even more sense because:
- the HKs were hyped to be a fight for the revs, and Shamrock is HK's leader while Sabo is Rev's chief of staff;
- both are kind of the same figure: "brother of" and the "child"/protegé of the big figure and both have climbed the ranks to be the highest ranking person under them (in Shamrock's case, under the Gorosei rank as a whole);
- last, both are in that double spread.

Setting aside this was over in like 4 pages in the manga and Luffy humiliated him in both mediums - what of it?
We have context for why Luffy spams G5 - it's fun.
Using G5 to stomp the shit out of Lucci is not reflective of Lucci being formidable enough to warrant it.
Luffy could've easily won in base.

Fair point. I was solely going to the Cerberus Vs Sabo part, because it sounded interesting to me. If the Cerberus in the One Piece Universe is really immune to fire, like with some depictions in mythology (or at least uses fire abilities too), that could be an interesting step for Sabo to get stronger, not just haki-wise. Because it's one thing to try to be hotter than Magma, but trying to bypass fire immunity sounds equally difficult for me.
But, of course, Shamrock will fight alongside it and that will complicate things.
